In astrology, Niobe is a symbol of pride, arrogance, parental expectation, boastful behavior, sadness, and loss of children in astrology. She was so distraught that she turned to stone, and, as she wept unceasingly, waters started to pour from her petrified complexion. Thus, Leto reacted by having Apollo and Artemis kill Niobe’s children, leaving Niobe to mourn alone. She bragged to the goddess Leto, who only had two children, Apollo and Artemis, about her fourteen offspring (seven male and seven female). Niobe, a queen of Thebes in Greek mythology, was famous for her beauty and pride.
